Southern Fried Cotton Photo Contest Official Rules
How To Enter:
Southern Fried Cotton is accepting submissions for the Dog Photo Contest beginning at 12:00:01 a.m. ET on February 23, 2025, and closing at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on March 8, 2025. Entries must be submitted through the official online entry form located here.
Eligibility:
a. This contest is open to legal residents of the United States who have reached the age of majority in their state of residence as of the contest start date. Entrants must have the legal right to submit the photo and grant Southern Fried Cotton broad permission to use it. If the photo includes a dog or individual owned by or belonging to someone other than the entrant, written permission must be obtained prior to entry.
b. By entering, participants acknowledge that if selected as a winner, the winning photo may not be used for any other contest, promotion, or commercial purpose outside of Southern Fried Cotton.
Winner Selection and Criteria:
Southern Fried Cotton will select the winning photograph(s), with the final number of winners determined at our sole discretion, from all eligible entries received. Winners will be notified by email following the close of the contest period.
Selection will be based on the number of entries received and Southern Fried Cotton’s evaluation of each photo’s suitability for use in brand promotion and apparel design. Criteria include:
a. Photo must be original, unpublished, and not copyrighted.
b. Photo should depict a sporting dog living the Southern Fried Cotton lifestyle.
c. Photo must meet the size and formatting requirements listed at the point of entry.
Prizes & Retail Value:
Winning photo(s) may be used as an original design by Southern Fried Cotton. The selected winner will receive:
- $200 Southern Fried Cotton store credit (redeemable online or in-store)
- $200 Visa gift card
- One (1) 12x12 poster featuring the dog on the winning design
Prizes are non-transferable and may not be substituted or redeemed for cash.
General Rules:
a. Southern Fried Cotton is not responsible for lost, late, damaged, delayed, incomplete, corrupted, or misdirected entries due to electronic, technical, or human error.
b. Southern Fried Cotton reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or terminate the Dog Photo Contest if fraud, misconduct, or technical failures compromise the integrity of the contest. If necessary, winners may be selected from eligible entries received prior to termination.
c. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of an entrant or winner, the entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized holder of the email account associated with the submission.
d. Any attempt to damage the website or undermine the legitimate operation of the contest may result in disqualification and potential legal action.
e. By participating, entrants agree to abide by these official rules and the decisions made by Southern Fried Cotton, which are final. Entrants must accept the terms provided at the point of entry, granting Southern Fried Cotton broad rights to use submitted photos for promotional and marketing purposes without additional compensation.
f. If a winner is found to be ineligible or not in compliance with these rules, the prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner at Southern Fried Cotton’s discretion.
g. This contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. Winners are responsible for any applicable taxes associated with prizes received.
h. By entering, participants release and hold harmless Southern Fried Cotton and its affiliates, employees, and representatives from any claims related to participation in the contest or acceptance and use of prizes.
Release & License Terms
By submitting a photo to the Southern Fried Cotton Dog Photo Contest, you grant Southern Fried Cotton and its representatives the irrevocable right to use, reproduce, publish, modify, and distribute your submitted photo and likeness in any medium, now or in the future, for commercial, promotional, advertising, and marketing purposes without additional compensation.
For non-winning photos, entrants may continue to use their images for personal use only and may not use them for commercial purposes or submit them to other contests until contest results have been announced. If a submitted photo is selected as a winning image, the entrant agrees that the image will be reserved for Southern Fried Cotton use and will not be used commercially elsewhere.
By entering, you certify that you have obtained written consent from all identifiable individuals and animal owners featured in the photo (other than yourself or your own pets). Southern Fried Cotton may request proof of these permissions prior to awarding prizes or publishing the image.
Entrants release Southern Fried Cotton from any and all claims arising from the use of submitted materials and waive any right to additional compensation. Submitted materials may be edited or modified at Southern Fried Cotton’s discretion.
These Release & License terms are binding upon entrants and their heirs, successors, and assigns and will benefit Southern Fried Cotton and its successors and assigns.
